What types of green waste can you remove on the Gold Coast?

Garden clippings, hedge trimmings, lawn clippings, branches, palm fronds, bamboo, turf, soil, mulch and storm cleanup debris are all in scope. A typical weekend garden tidy-up runs 1 to 2 cubic metres — about a trailer load. A full yard clear-out or post-landscaping job, including stumps, root balls and larger branches, typically runs 4 to 8 cubic metres. We also take on bulk green waste from land clearing, hedge removals and full garden renovations. Where can I dispose of garden waste on the Gold Coast?

Accepted Answer

You've got a few options: your council green waste bin (limited by bin size and collection schedule, and it won't take branches, stumps or bulk clean-up loads), a trip to the local tip (you load, drive and pay a gate fee per load), or a green waste removal service that collects and disposes of it for you. We're the third option — send a photo, we quote a fixed price from $95 per cubic metre, and we load and haul everything away the same visit. Garden waste is taken to certified composting and mulching facilities rather than general landfill wherever possible, keeping the material in the same recovery stream your council green bin would use, just without the bin-size limit or the wait for collection day.

Do you remove palm trees or large branches?

Accepted Answer

We remove green waste that's already been cut down — once it's on the ground or stacked, we'll load it and take it away. For trees still standing, or large branches still attached above head height, you'll need a qualified tree lopper or arborist first; that's a specialist job outside what a waste removal crew is equipped or licensed to do safely. Once the lopper has finished and left the debris on-site, we can collect everything in the same visit or a following one. If you're coordinating a job that involves both tree work and waste removal, let us know when you send your photos and we can time the pickup around the lopper's schedule.

What happens to green waste after collection?

Green waste is sorted and taken to certified composting and mulching facilities on the Gold Coast rather than general landfill. Clean garden material — clippings, branches, palm fronds, turf — gets processed into mulch and compost for reuse in landscaping and agriculture. Soil and turf with heavy contamination (concrete, plastic, treated timber mixed in) is sorted separately and disposed of at the appropriate licensed facility. Across all collected materials, including green waste, we divert 92% from landfill (2025 waste manifests, licensed Gold Coast resource recovery facilities).

How much does green waste removal cost on the Gold Coast?

Green waste removal is priced at $95 per cubic metre with a two cubic-metre minimum ($190 entry). A standard trailer load of garden clippings or hedge trimmings is roughly 2 cubic metres — right at the minimum. A full weekend garden tidy-up, including bagged clippings and a few branches, usually runs 2 to 4 cubic metres. Bigger jobs — post-landscaping clean-ups, storm debris, or a yard full of stumps and root balls — are priced on the actual volume we collect. Pricing is confirmed from a photo quote before we start, so what you're quoted is what you pay. There are no extra tip fees or per-trip charges on top.

Yes. We operate 7 days a week with same-day availability across the Gold Coast, and storm cleanup is one of the more common reasons people call us for green waste. After a storm, fallen branches, scattered palm fronds and debris can build up fast, especially if council collection is backed up dealing with the same event across the whole city.
