Handled with care.
Coolangatta 4225 sits right on the border, with Marine Parade and the beach on one side and the slopes of Greenmount Hill on the other. Estates here include holiday homes kept in the family for years, walk-up unit blocks and older houses on the hill. We walk through with the executor or relatives, set aside what stays, and move the rest on in the order you choose.
A Coolangatta estate is often a holiday home, a walk-up unit or a house on the hill, and each needs a different plan.
Beach gear, boards, fishing tackle, spare beds and mixed crockery build up in a house used for holidays. We sort what the family wants to keep from what can go, and nothing leaves until you say so.
Older walk-up units have stairs and no lift. We carry out by hand, plan for the stairwell, and check parking and access rules with the building before the day.
Houses on the slopes rise from steep streets, and a drive can be steep too. We look at the approach in your photos and choose the ute or the trailer to suit.
Coolangatta (4225) sits on the Queensland and New South Wales border, with Tweed Heads across the line to the south. Kirra, Bilinga and Tugun lie to the north, and Greenmount Hill rises above the southern end of the beach. Marine Parade runs along the sand and Griffith Street is the main strip. Older unit blocks near the beach are walk-ups with stairs and no lift, and the streets up the hill are steep.
Holiday rentals fill the beachside blocks over school holidays and summer, so give us notice if a unit has to be empty around those weeks. The crew also covers Kirra, Bilinga and Tugun on the same trip, and relatives travelling in from interstate can use the days they are here to choose keepsakes, then leave the rest to us.
Servicing Coolangatta 4225
Same-day quotes • 7 days • Fixed price up front • Fully insured
Send photos of each room, the shed or outdoor area, and the stairwell if it is a unit. Add the street name so we can see how close the crew can park.
We text or call with one fixed price. If relatives are coming from interstate to choose keepsakes, give us the date and we schedule the clearance for after their visit.
The crew carries out by hand, takes the stairs where there is no lift, and keeps the vehicle clear of neighbours' driveways. Donations go to charities, the rest goes to recycling where the material allows, and we sweep each room.
Yes. Many older blocks near the beach are walk-ups, and the crew carries everything down by hand. Send a photo of the stairwell and tell us the floor, and we allow for the extra labour in the fixed price. Large pieces such as wardrobes, bed bases and lounges come apart where they can. Ask the building manager about parking for the vehicle and any move-out rules, and tell us what they say so we plan the visit inside them.
Holiday houses collect boards, rods, tackle boxes, beach chairs, umbrellas and wetsuits. We sort them with the family first, because a relative may want a particular board or rod. Gear in good shape can go to charities and op shops, and the rest goes to disposal or recycling where the material allows. Broken boards and fibreglass are bulky, so mention them in your photos and we count the space they take.
Collect papers, jewellery, photos, keys and anything with sentimental value, and move them out of the house or into one room. Tell us which pieces a relative wants to keep or sell so we leave them in place. Confirm how the crew gets into the property and, for a unit, check parking and lift or stair rules with the building manager. Photograph each room and the stairwell or drive. With that done, the visit runs smoother and you do not need to be on site while we work.
We charge $95 per m³ with a $190 minimum. We estimate the cubic metres from your photos and give one fixed price before we lift anything. Stairs with no lift take longer to carry, so we look at the access when we price the job. A holiday house with a full garage can take more than one load, and we say so in the quote. Heavy items such as old fridges, solid timber furniture or tiles take more effort to shift, so mention them when you send photos.
Send photos of the stairwell, the rooms and the holiday gear, and tell us when relatives are in town to choose keepsakes.
